If you’re looking for a quick, vegan, and delicious meal, you’ll find it at Cigköftem. For about four years, the snack bar in the Laurentiusviertel has been offering wraps with the hearty mixture of bulgur and spices or with falafel. Owner Ender Bars not only offers several variations of the dish – he also surprises with an unexpected fun fact from the world of football.

Cigköftem offers the vegan bulgur meatball as a wrap, as a plate with salad, bread, and sauce, or as generous packages. Everything you need to prepare the wraps at home is included.

I choose a wrap, in a spicy version. It’s filled with Cig Köfte, lemon, lettuce and herbs, as well as jalapenos. Very tasty: Fresh mint and parsley as well as the homemade pomegranate sauce. It complements each other to create a fresh, fruity, and hearty dish.

Fries are also available, and for the Pentecost fair, the snack bar also offers chili cheese nuggets. Börek, the pastry rolls, are available on “special days,” as Ender Bars reports. Then he also has a juicy cake called “Islak Kek” on offer.

So it’s worth dropping by more often. Frequent eaters are rewarded with a bonus card.

Fun fact in conclusion. Ender Bars’ heart beats not only for vegan fast food but also for football. He is the chairman of the European fan club Avrupa Kartallari of Besiktas Istanbul – one of the three major Turkish football clubs from the city on the Bosporus, where Mario Gomez also played.”
